In 1996, concerned residents of 3400 Flournoy block transformed an empty eyesore in a beautiful garden. This garden has a large variety of perennials, shrubs, trees and annuals. Originally the Homan Flournoy Garden, it was renamed to honor Velma Johnson’s hard work and leadership.  It is our hope that this garden will bring beauty and pleasure to the community for years to come.
